General Surgeon :
A general surgeon is a clinically skilled, surgically adept and highly experienced medical doctor with specialization in the department of General Surgery. They have successfully pursued and completed academic qualifications of MBBS Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) and MS (Master of Surgery) in General Surgery. They may also have additional certifications and fellowships in minimal access surgery and laparoscopic or robotic assisted surgeries. They are highly trained in clinical principles of surgical management. They provide specialized surgical management of conditions affecting any body organ after a thorough evaluation with CT or MRI scans and tissue biopsies. Some of the commonly treated conditions include cancers of breast, stomach, pancreas, and genitourinary organs, appendectomy, hernia repair, traumatic wound management, bone fracture reductions and fixations. They work in collaboration with other specialists to provide customized treatment regimen. They provide preoperative evaluation, proper care management during hospitalizations, and postoperative instructions with scheduled follow-ups exceptionally well. They manage any postoperative complications with immediate responsibility and proper care.
