He completed MBBS and DTMH from Calcutta University, MD in General Medicine from Utkal University and DM in Endocrinology from the West Bengal University of Health Sciences in 2007. Dr. Sanyal has received several awards and recognitions, including Honours (Distinction) in Pharmacology and the Dr. Deepak Banerjee Award for Best Paper Published in JIMA - 2009.
