Breast Lump :
A breast lump can be called a breast mass. It is an abnormal growth or swelling formed in the breast tissue. A breast lump can be a major sign of breast cancer, and it begins as a non-cancerous growth. The formation of a breast lump is due to cyst formation, mastitis, fibroadenomas, or a malignant cause, which will be breast cancer or a breast abscess. The breast lump can be felt as a round or irregularly shaped growth, hard, or smooth like a grape. The breast lump can be diagnosed through enquiring the medical history, family history, examination of breast tissue, symptoms, and tests such as mammogram, ultrasound scanning. In some cases, breast lumps can heal on their own. The treatment for breast lumps can be done with medication, biopsy is performed to detect cancer, and draining of pus accumulated in the cyst. When the breast lump is caused by breast cancer, the treatment advised is surgical treatment, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy.
