CT Surgeon :
A CT surgeon is also called a cardio thoracic surgeon. A CT surgeon is a specialist doctor who mainly deals with the diseases that affect the heart, lungs, and other parts of the chest region. A CT surgeon will be qualified with a graduation in MBBS, followed by post graduation, MS in General Surgery, and then trained with a fellowship course in cardio thoracic surgery. A CT surgeon can perform surgeries such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), transplantation of the heart, replacement of heart valves or heart valve repair, and minimally invasive heart surgeries. They are highly trained in providing treatment for lung diseases such as transplantation of lungs, resection of lung in case of lung cancers, many more. There are other surgeries that are performed by a CT surgeon, such as esophageal perforation, and congenital heart diseases affecting the children, such as valve stenosis, esophageal cancer, and septal defects. CT surgeons perform surgeries when there are vascular problems, such as an aortic aneurysm.
