Dandruff :
Dandruff is an extremely common scalp disorder that causes the skin on the scalp to dry out and become crusty. The flakes of scalp skin become dislodged and fall on the hair, eyebrows, beard, and shoulders. For this reason, it can be an embarrassing condition to have, but it is not dangerous or contagious. Besides the flaking of the skin, dandruff also makes the scalp itchy and irritated. The symptoms of this disease tend to intensify in cold and dry weather. Mild dandruff can be treated with daily washes using gentle or medicated shampoo. However, the symptoms may recur later. Dandruff can develop regardless of whether your skin is dry or oily. One of the most common reasons for the development of dandruff is the malassezia fungus. It is a yeast-like microbe that feeds on the oil that is present on the scalps of adults.
