Uro oncologist :
A urologic oncologist or uro oncologist specializes in diagnosing and treating cancer of the urinary tract. These doctors treat cancer in the kidneys and bladder. They can also treat cancer in the prostate, testicles, and penis. These oncologists perform physical tests and may order a variety of tests to diagnose urinary tract cancer. Besides urine and blood tests, the doctor may require an MRI, CT scan, cystoscopy, digital rectal scan, or biopsy for diagnosis. Surgery is the most common treatment for most cancers of the urinary tract. Uro oncologists are trained to use a variety of specialized tools. These tools allow the doctors to remove tumours from the urinary tract without harming the healthy tissues. If the cancer spreads out of the urinary tract, a uro oncologist may combine surgical treatment with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or other treatments.
