Prostate Cancer :
Prostate cancer is called the cancer that develops in the prostate gland of males. The types of prostate cancer will be adenocarcinoma, and less common types will be transitional cell carcinomas, sarcomas, small cell carcinoma, and neuroendocrine tumors. The symptoms which are observed in prostate cancer will be weak urine flow, burning sensation during urination, loss of bladder control, loss of bowel control, painful ejaculation, pain in the hip, blood in semen, and low back pain. The diagnosis of prostate cancer will be based on the physical examination, screening tests, like prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test, biopsy, digital rectal exam, and imaging tests, including MRI scan and transrectal ultrasound examination. The treatment advised for prostate cancer will be through a surgical procedure known as radical prostatectomy, such as open radical prostatectomy or robotic radical prostatectomy. Radiotherapy will be given, which includes external beam radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and systemic therapies, including immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy.
