Varicose develops most commonly in the lower half of the legs. Varicose veins are diagnosed through physical examination and may advise ultrasound. Varicose veins can be treated with elastic stockings or socks to compress veins, the elevation of legs to increase the flow of blood, laser therapy called endovenous thermal ablation, injection therapy called sclerotherapy, veins surgery called ligation and stripping, and ambulatory phlebectomy. The complications that are seen with varicose veins treatment are bleeding, numbness, pain, infection, nerve injury, lumps, and changes in color.
