Nose bleed is most often seen in children and is usually not associated with any underlying medical condition. Nose bleeding can either be sudden or may be induced either by injury or nose picking. A nose bleed has various causative factors including allergy, infection, sudden fall or bump, sensitive blood vessels that tend to bleed frequently and due to insertion of any foreign object. As most often nose bleed is not associated with any serious underlying factors one must be aware of the first aid management such as sitting up straight, applying pressure on the soft area of the nose, placing a cold pack over the head, and breathing though mouth.
