Ectopic Pregnancy :
This type of disorder occurs during pregnancy when a fertilized egg attaches to an abnormal site of the uterus other than the normal location. It is known as ectopic pregnancy. Uncommon locations where fertilization can attach are the fallopian tube (Tubal pregnancy), ovary, abdominal cavity, the lower region of the uterus and vagina. This abnormal attachment leads to the death of the egg, and sometimes, mass can also be seen and may lead to life-threatening bleeding. Typical symptoms associated with ectopic pregnancy are heavy vaginal bleeding, dizziness or weakness, hypotension, and severe pain in the abdomen area, followed by the back of the body. Several underlying diseases can lead to ectopic pregnancy, like STI (sexually transmitted diseases), and the infant may have deformity due to irregular shape because of fallopian delivery. Usually, patients are diagnosed by a urine test, blood test, and ultrasound examination, commonly seen at the age of 12 weeks of pregnancy, and Methotrexate and surgery are used to remove the egg from ectopic pregnancy.
