Optic Neuropathy :
Optic Neuropathy is the problem of the optic nerve it presents at the end of the eye that is connected to the brain. Usually, patients are diagnosed with optic neuropathy due to damage to nerve fibers that transfer visual information to the brain. This condition results from inflammation or blockage of the flow of blood through the nerve and other eye related disease. Patients experience symptoms like eye pain, gradual or sudden vision loss, blind spots in the eye, reduced color vision and other related problems and following some prevention measures like wearing safety goggles and having a healthy diet with nutrition-rich foods can reduce these symptoms. It is treated by eye care specialists through visual exams like optical coherence tomography, MRI, visual field tests, fluorescein angiography, and by assessing other underlying problems to provide effective treatment. Mostly, it is not completely cured, but it is managed with anti-inflammatory therapy and other medications, which improve symptoms and make it less likely to worsen another eye.
