Lung Cancer:
Lung cancer is one of the common types of cancers occurring globally. The lung cancer is usually detected in the late stages in many cases thus have high mortality and less five year survival period. The risk factors for lung cancer includes smoking (major risk factor), secondhand smoke exposure, vaping,genetics, family history, air pollution, exposure to chemicals like asbestos, silica , coal dust etc. The symptoms are often vague like cough which is often unresolved and worsens overtime, wheezing, coughing up blood, loss of appetite, weight loss, shortness of breath, chest discomfort or pain etc. Early detection and treatment is important for increasing survival rates.
