Arthroscopy Specialist :
An arthroscopy specialist is a specialized medical doctor who performs minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures. To pursue a career as an arthroscopy specialist, one has to qualify as an orthopedic surgeon by obtaining an MBBS degree from a medical college and pursuing post graduation, MS or DNB in Orthopedics, followed by an additional super specialization degree in arthroscopy. Arthroscopy refers to a minimally invasive surgery performed using an arthroscope by an arthroscopic specialist to repair the damaged tissue and stabilize the ligaments. It also helps to treat other joint issues. An arthroscopy specialist commonly treats conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, meniscal tears and shoulder dislocations, sports injuries like ACL tears, and various other joints, like the shoulder, knee, hip, ankle, and wrist, using arthroscopy. After the procedure is done, the arthroscopy specialist also delivers postoperative care and monitors patient recovery and rehabilitation, thus promoting the best possible health outcomes in their patients.
