Aplastic Anaemia :

Aplastic anemia is a rare hematological condition, when the bone marrow fails to produce new blood cells in sufficient numbers. Aplastic anemia is primarily caused due to the damage to the stem cells while other causative factors include autoimmune disorders, as result of radiation or chemotherapy, use of certain drugs, exposure to toxic chemicals and other idiopathic causes. Individuals with this disorder experience frequent and chronic infections, easy bruising or bleeding and severe fatigue. Treatment includes bone marrow transplantation, blood transfusion and pharmacological therapy.
