Haemorrhoidectomy or Piles Surgery  is a surgical procedure used to treat haemorrhoids or piles, when conservative therapy has failed or if the haemorrhoids are at an advanced grade. Haemorrhoidectomy may be done as an excisional haemorrhoidectomy in which the entire haemorrhoid tissue is cut and removed and is associated with longer healing times and more pain.
