Venerologist :
A venereologist is a specialist doctor who deals with the diagnosis and management of sexually transmitted diseases. Venerologists are well-trained in managing diseases that affect the reproductive and urinary systems. The venereologist is qualified with a graduation in MBBS, followed by post-graduation in MD in DVL (dermatology, venereology, leprosy). A venereologist is highly skilled in treating conditions like gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia, HIV/AIDS, HPV infection, and herpes infection. They will be counselling individuals about vaccinations for HPV, safe sex practices, and preventive measures. A Venerologist will treat other issues like sexual dysfunction, genital dermatoses, and sexually transmitted diseases. There are symptoms that are treated by a venereologist, including pain during urination, pain during sexual intercourse, pelvic pain, vaginal discharge, flu-like symptoms, rashes on the body, sores on the genitals,abdominal bleeding through the vagina, genital warts, swollen lymph nodes, and blisters on the anus.
