Endometriosis :
Endometriosis can be described as an abnormal tissue growth formed outside the uterus that can be similar to the uterus's inner lining. Endometriosis can affect the ovaries, the lining of the pelvis, and the fallopian tubes. The symptoms that can be observed in case of endometriosis include pain during menstruation, pain while urinating, pain during bowel movements, heavy bleeding, infertility, pain during sexual intercourse, constipation, bloating of the stomach, and diarrhea. The stages that can be seen in case of endometriosis can be stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, stage 4. The diagnosis of endometriosis can be done through pelvic examination, laparoscopy, MRI scan, and ultrasound examination of the uterus. The treatment done in case of endometriosis can be through medications for pain relief, progestine therapy, hormonal replacement therapy, gonadotropin releasing hormone (Gn - RH) agonists and antagonists, aromatase inhibitors, treatment for infertility, removal of ovaries (hysterectomy), and conservative surgery. The severe complications that arise with endometriosis include breathlessness, pain in the chest region, bowel problems, and bladder problems.
