Renal Failure :
Symptoms include fatigue, swelling in legs and ankles, loss of urine, nausea, and confusion. In extreme cases complications such as electrolyte imbalances and even problems with the heart can occur. Diagnosis involves blood tests in determining the extent of function, such as measurements against creatinine and blood urea nitrogen levels, and urine tests. Treatment will depend on the cause because conditions may require lifestyle changes, drugs, or in more advanced conditions, dialysis-an artificial procedure by which waste products are removed from the blood. Patients with a diagnosis of end-stage renal failure may be eligible for kidney transplants.
