Diet Counselling :
Diet counselling is a process in which a qualified nutritionist or dietitian helps an individual improve their eating habits and diet. The counselling begins by the healthcare professional inquiring about the individual's current diet and medical history. Then, the dietitian assesses the individual's nutritional needs, which may require blood tests and other tests.
The next step of diet counselling involves setting goals with regard to weight loss, weight gain, muscle gain, controlling diabetes or improving overall health. Then, the doctor provides a personalized meal plan based on the individual's dietary preferences and activity level. In other words, the dietitian will advise the individual about what they can eat and what to avoid. The dietitian will ensure that the suggested changes are sustainable in the long run so the individual sees health improvements consistently.
