Warts in Children :
Warts in children can be caused by a virus called human papillomavirus (HPV). These warts can appear on the skin and are harmless and painless, and often go away on their own. Some warts may need treatment with medications. Warts will appear as bumpy growths over the skin which will be rough, and raised. The color of the bumps will be skin colored, or brownish, yellowish. Warts in children can be most commonly seen upon fingers, hands, feet, knees, and can occur anywhere upon the body. Children can be more prone to the occurrence of warts than adults, which can be due to low immune system. There are many types of warts such as plantar warts, common warts, and flat warts. These warts can be contagious and will spread through skin-to-skin contact and by contaminated surfaces. The treatment of warts in children can be made with medications, cryotherapy, electrocautery of warts, burning or scrapping of warts, laser therapy of warts.
