The food groups that will be included in the diabetic diet will be vegetables with low carbohydrates, fruits, lean protein meats, such as fish, whole grains, chicken, and healthy fats. The foods that are avoided while following a diabetic diet will be carbonated drinks, potatoes, sugary foods, white rice, high-sodium foods, peas, alcohol, fried foods, processed foods, and refined grains. To manage diabetes, medications need to be taken regularly without fail, and food should be consumed at regular intervals and in the right amounts.
