Child Psychiatrist :
Child psychiatrists are physicians who diagnose and treat mental and behavioural problems in children and teenagers. These doctors devise treatment plans that may include medication, therapy, or both. They may perform psychiatric evaluations and psychotherapy. They may also order lab and diagnostic tests if necessary. A child can use a psychiatrist's help if they experience nightmares, cannot sit still, engage in self-destructive behaviours, or if their academic performance keeps declining. Depending on the diagnosis, the child's treatment may involve the parents, teachers, and other members of the child's life. There are several techniques that a child psychiatrist may use to help the child. Some popular methods include cognitive behavioural therapy, art therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy and play therapy. None of these therapies can be utilized as a one-size-fits-all approach. It may take some trial and error to find a method that helps the child.
