Chalazion :

Chalazion is a painless benign growth that develops on the eyelid due to clogging of meibomian gland which is present in the eyelid. They are common on the upper eye lid but may also form in lower eyelid too. it differs from the other conditions of the eye by being painless. Few signs and symptoms of chalazion are small growth under the eyelid, painless, heaviness on eyelid, the bump may start small and grow big in size over time, tearing from eyes, blurring of vision can also be seen if the chalazion is big enough to exert pressure on the eye ball, redness of conjunctiva.

Diagnosis might be important if the chalazion is recurring many times at the same position to rule out carcinoma of sebaceous gland. Generally chalazion does not need any treatment as it subsides by its own with in two weeks. Techniques like using warm compression, mild eyelid margin scrub to remove excess oil will help manage the condition.
