Dr. Gajendra Chawla is a renowned Ophthalmologist and Director of Vision Care and Research Centre. He is a pioneer in vitreo retinal surgery and laser in Bhopal. He is the founder and Chairman of NGO Vision Academy ? The socio medical society. Dr. Gajendra Chawla served as a Hon. Secretary of Bhopal divisional Ophthalmic society and paved a way for affordable treatments and services to the weaker section of the society. He was a visiting Vitreo Retinal Consultant for various hospitals at Bhopal like Ajwani eye hospital, Sevasadan eye hospital, Mata mandir netra Seva Kendra. He also owned a Clinic after his name. Dr. Gajendra Chawla's main area of interest is Diabetic eye disease and Retinopathy of Prematurity. He did his master degree in Ophthalmology from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. He underwent a two year fellowship training programme in vitreo retinal surgery from Sankara nethralaya Chennai. Dr. Gajendra Chawla worked as a Vitreo Retinal Consultant at Venu eye institute New Delhi. He was the guest faculty at various Ophthalmological conferences such as Bhopal divisional Ophthalmic society, Indore Divisional Ophthalmic society, MP state Ophthalmic society, Delhi Ophthalmic society.
