HIV Specialist :
A HIV specialist is a specialist doctor who will be dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection and complications caused by that infection. A HIV specialist is known as an infectious disease specialist. A HIV specialist is a qualified professional with a graduation in MBBS, followed by post-graduation in internal medicine or infectious diseases. Further specialized with special training with a fellowship course in HIV/AIDS management. A HIV specialist will deal with the management of HIV infection through antiretroviral therapy (ART), and also treatment of opportunistic infections like pneumonia, co-infections such as tuberculosis, hepatitis. When the symptoms of HIV infection will be flu like symptoms, ulcers in the mouth, headaches, frequent diarrhea, frequent infections such as flu, yeast infections, cold, tuberculosis, unexplained weight loss, severe herpes, swollen lymph nodes, skin problems, pneumonia, vomiting, swollen lymph nodes, neurologic problems, liver damage, heart disease, sleep problems, nausea, kidney damage, are observed, should consult with a HIV specialist for the diagnosis and treatment.
