Warts in Children :
Warts in children refers to non cancerous growths of skin, caused by human papilloma virus (HPV). The risk factors for warts in children include a weak immune system and staying in close contact with a person with similar condition. Warts in children are classified into various types such as common warts, filiform warts, flat warts, genital warts, periungal warts, plantar and palmar warts. To manage warts in children, there are several ways such as using over the counter products, putting salicylic acid or any other medication on the wart, applying electrical current to the wart or burning it, using liquid nitrogen to freeze the wart, excising the wart or cutting it and removal of the wart with laser surgery. To prevent warts in children, the necessary measures to be taken include washing hands for at least twenty seconds after touching wart and not touching the wart to other people.
