Haemodialysis :
Haemodialysis is a type of dialysis that is used for the management of kidney disease. Haemodialysis will help in the filtration of blood from waste products like urea, creatinine, and other acids. During the procedure of haemodialysis, blood will flow through the tiny tubes with a mesh that is present inside the dialyser. Then the waste products in the blood will be filtered using this mesh. After that, the filtered blood is returned to the body. There are two types of haemodialysis: in-centre haemodialysis and home haemodialysis. In case of home haemodialysis, there will be three types of dialysis: short daily home haemodialysis, nocturnal (overnight) home haemodialysis, and conventional home haemodialysis. Haemodialysis will be indicated in patients with late-stage kidney diseases, end-stage kidney disease, kidney failure, and those who are waiting for a kidney transplant. The major advantage of having a haemodialysis procedure will be replacing the work of damaged kidneys.
