Genital Sores :
Genital sores are slow healing ulcers which are seen along the digestive tract, including the stomach. Genital sores also appear on the outer part of the penis, vagina, anus and skin near these areas. The causative factors of these genital sores include sexually transmitted infections, syphilis genital herpes, and also because of chancroid, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), chlamydia, and non infectious ulcers like aphthous ulcers like canker sores or behcet's disease. The presenting complains of genital sores include swollen lymph nodes in the groin region, small bumps, pus filled bumps which break open in severe cases and a simple rash. These indications of genital sores cause symptoms like burning sensation, painful urination, fever, itchy genitals, vaginal discharge that smells bad and painful sexual intercourse. To confirm the presence of these genital sores, various investigations such as blood test, urinalysis and biopsy are conducted.
