Psoriasis :
Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition and an inflammatory skin problem. Psoriasis is classified into various types, such as plaque psoriasis, guttate psoriasis, inverse psoriasis, pustular psoriasis, sebopsoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, and nail psoriasis. The various areas of the body that are affected by psoriasis include scalp, face, elbows and knees, and inside of the mouth, genitals, fingertips and toenails, lower back and palms and feet. The significant signs of psoriasis are cracked, dry skin, skin pain, itchy skin, nails that are pitted, cracked or crumbly and joint pains. The triggering factors of psoriasis include emotional stress, a skin injury, certain medications, changes in body temperature because of weather conditions, and an infection. The treatment methods to control psoriasis includes using steroid creams, medications like anthralin to slow the skin cell production, moisturizers for dry skin conditions, medicated shampoos and lotions, vitamin A or retinoid creams, and vitamin D3 ointment.
