Gout is a common form of arthritis disease, It is typically caused by the increased level of uric acid in the blood. This condition is characterised by symptoms such as red, tender, swollen, hot joint, intense joint pain, decreased range of motion, and lingering discomfort. Improper diet, obesity, genetic factors, family history, recent surgery or trauma and certain medication are some of the trigger factors contributing to this condition.
Treatment of gout involves a mixture of medications, life style modification such as adequate diet, avoid smoking , reducing alcohol intake, maintaining a healthy weight and surgery if required.
