A cosmetic Surgeon refers to a specialized plastic surgeon who has expertise in the area of cosmetic surgery. To pursue a career as a cosmetic surgeon, one should complete their five and half years of graduation and obtain their bachelor's degree in MBBS from a medical college, followed by pursuing Master's of Surgery in General Surgery, additional super specialization of Master's of Chirurgiae (M Ch) in Plastic Surgery and sub specialization degree in Cosmetic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgeries. The common types of procedures performed by a cosmetic surgeon include surgical corrections to improve the aesthetic appearance of a person, which include facial and body contouring procedures, and facial and body rejuvenation procedures. Cosmetic surgeon also conducts surgeries such as chin augmentation, earlobe surgery, face lift, dimple creation, breast augmentation and reduction, liposuction, rhinoplasty, tummy tuck, lip and botox fillers, and breast and hip implants.
