Psychiatrist :
A psychiatrist will be a specialist in diagnosing and managing mental health problems and also provides support in order to prevent the illness and emotional disorders through their counselling. A psychiatrist will be qualified with a graduation in MBBS followed by post-graduation, MD in the field of psychiatry or a diploma in psychiatric medicine. A psychiatrist will be able to deal with multiple mental health issues like anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder, substance use disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, alzheimer's disease, eating disorders, and provide treatments for these conditions through medications, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). When there are symptoms like loss of interest, sadness, anxiety, changes in eating habits, oversleeping, insomnia, trouble in making decisions, usage of alcohol and drugs, cannot focus, suicidal thoughts, headaches, self-harming, hallucinations, delusions, obsessive thoughts, one should get checked with a Psychiatrist for the diagnosis and treatment.
