SRT :
SRT - stereo tactic Radiotherapy is a type of Radiation treatment used to treat cancers. Here a high beams of radiation is aimed at killing the cancer cells or restricting its growth. Tumour cells receive high dose and the neighbouring tissues will receive the low dose of radiation. SRT is given as multiple fractions and not as a Single dose. It is used to treat certain brain tumours and brain conditions, inoperable lung cancers etc. Patients need to contact the Radiation oncologists for SRT treatment.
