Insulin pumps :

Insulin pumps are the medical devices that helps to deliver insulin in timely manner according to the need of the body through out the day thus avoiding the daily multiple injections. It is used in people with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetics dependent on insulin,uncontrolled high blood glucose levels, frequent hypoglycemia etc. They help in improving the maintanance of controlled glucose levels through out the day, reduce the risk of hypoglycemia (very low blood glucose levels that cause various symptoms like giddiness, fainting , coma in severe cases) and also improving the flexibility to diet and exercise. Although it is efficient in delivering the insulin some might experience discomfort to wear the insulin pump all the time, tissue scarring in the area, unable to participate in rough sports and water activities etc.
