Mood Attention :
In many cases mood and attention problems have their basis in a mental disorder or stress factors in the subject's life activity. Mood may be described as the one's feeling or disposition regarding an object while attention refers to the capacity to direct one's mind to an object. Fatigue, moods swings, anxiety or depression make it difficult to focus during attending to tasks or issues. Such symptoms can be associated with stress, hormonal fluctuations, sleep disorder or anxiety and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Lack of food as well as inactivity in a person will also determine the mood or even capacity to focus. The Interventions used on children with mood and attention problems involve, first of all, consideration of possibility of a cause of the problem. In less severe forms physical activity, correct nutrition, and a healthy sleep-wake regimen will influence mood and attention. A serious case a doctor may recommend personal therapy, a session with a counselor, or medications such as antidepressants, stimulants for depression or ADD/ADHD, respectively. Meditation also makes stress reduce and other activities like exercises provides improvement in mood and attentiveness.
