IUI :
Intrauterine insemination can be called as IUI. IUI can be described as a treatment procedure advised for treating the infertility problem in couples who are having trouble conceiving a pregnancy. The procedure of IUI, mainly involves injection of sperm into the uterus directly for fertilization and resulting in pregnancy. IUI can be advised in case of poor movement of sperm, allergic to semen, cervical factor infertility, low sperm count, endometriosis, and also in case of unexplained fertility issues. IUI will be more economical than other fertility treatment procedures. Before doing the IUI procedure, there are diagnostic tests to be done such as examination of uterus, ultrasound scan of uterus, analysis of semen, screening for any sexually transmitted infections, blood tests. The IUI treatment can be performed in steps such as determining the ovulation, collecting the semen in a sample amount, sperm preparation for insemination, and insemination of the sperm through the cervix into uterus. Then the process of fertilization of sperm and egg will be done, thus resulting in the pregnancy.
