Hydronephrosis :
Hydronephrosis is a condition in which urine produced by the kidneys does not properly flow to the bladder. It usually occurs due to a blockage in the tubes (ureters) that connect the kidneys to the bladder. Hydronephrosis can be mild or severe, and it can be a short-term or a lifelong problem. Left untreated, this condition can result in kidney failure.
The symptoms of this condition include pain around the kidneys, nausea, blood in the urine, difficulty urinating and urinating less or more than normal. Hydronephrosis can develop due to kidney stones, tumours, narrowing of the urinary tract, and nerve problems. Pregnancy, cystocele and uterine prolapse can also cause this condition. The diagnosis of this condition involves urine tests, blood tests and imaging tests.
