Hydronephrosis :
Hydronephrosis is a secondary condition that results more often due to any underlying medical condition such as kidney stones, congenital defect, UTI’s, tumors, pregnancy, and enlarged prostate etc. Hydronephrosis occurs as a result of blockages in the urinary tract or incomplete urine drainage from the kidneys in turn leading to inflammation of one or both the kidneys. Symptoms include lower back pain, blood in urine, urge to urinate, pain while urinating, nausea and vomiting. This condition should be diagnosed and treated promptly through both medical and surgical interventions accordingly, if left untreated over time, it results in a decrease in kidney function in turn leading to possible kidney damage.
