Hip Replacement :
Hip replacement is a surgical procedure that is performed to replace the hip or part of the hip using an implant or prosthesis. Hip replacement will be called hip arthroplasty. There will be two types of hip replacement surgeries, such as total hip replacement and partial hip replacement. Hip replacement is indicated in cases of arthritis and in types of arthritis like psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. Before doing the procedure of hip replacement, there will be tests to be done, such as X-rays of the hips, urine tests, blood tests, a CT scan, an MRI scan, and an electrocardiogram (ECG). Hip replacement is a surgical procedure that will be done under anesthesia, then the cartilage and bone from the hip joint are removed and replaced using an implant or prosthesis. The prosthesis will be made up of plastic, metal, or ceramic. The benefits of hip replacement surgery will be achieved with a drastic reduction of stiffness and pain in the hip joint, making it easy to climb stairs, walk, and do other activities.
