Erectile Dysfunction :
Erectile dysfunction, a penile disorder, is described as a condition where the person experiences an inability to maintain or get an erection long enough for sexual intercourse. The various types of erectile dysfunction include vascular erectile dysfunction, neurogenic erectile dysfunction, hormonal erectile dysfunction and psychogenic erectile dysfunction. The significant signs of erectile dysfunction include only sometimes being able to get an erection prior to sexual intercourse, being able to get an erection before sexual intercourse but not being able to maintain it during the intercourse, complete inability to get an erection and requiring a lot of stimulation to maintain an erection. The factors causing erectile dysfunction include diabetes, diabetes related neuropathy, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, vascular disease, CKD, atherosclerosis and epilepsy, injuries to penis like penile fracture, injuries to the pelvis bones, bladder, prostate and spinal cord, pelvic surgery and radiation therapy, certain medications, substances with addiction potential and psychological conditions like depression, anxiety and stress.
