Vaccination :
Vaccination is described as administering a biological preparation of a weakened or killed form of a bacteria or a virus to train the immune system of the body to remember the pathogen (by creating memory) and create antibodies, without causing the disease directly. Vaccination helps in preventing illness and also reduces the risk of infectious disease outbreaks among individuals and protects communities. These vaccines are administered in the form of injections, nasal sprays or orally as tablets. These vaccinations are used only for specific parts of pathogens and include a variety of them such as live attenuated vaccines (weakened vaccines), inactivated vaccines, mRNA vaccines (using genetic instructions), toxoid vaccines (using bacterial toxins), subunit (using parts of the germ), polysaccharide, recombinant, conjugate vaccines and viral vector vaccines. Various diseases, such as common flu, bacterial infections like pertussis, diphtheria, and tetanus, can be prevented by having vaccinations.
