Parkinson disease :
Parkinson's disease is one of the common neurological diseases of degenerative origin. It occurs as the age progress and prevalent in people who are assigned male at birth. Parkinson's disease can be clinically presented with motor related symptoms like tremors, loss of muscle coordination, problems with gait and posture, generalized rigidity and stiffness of the body, drooling, mask-like facial expressions, difficulty swallowing and soft voice. It can also cause secondary conditions like orthostatic hypotension, bowel and urinary problems, sleep and mood disorders. There are 4 stages of progression of Parkinson's disease based on the manifestation of these non-motor and motor symptoms. It can be caused due to family history, idiopathic, and medication or injury induced reasons. A qualified neurologist evaluates the symptoms thoroughly and manages primarily with medications such as dopamine simulators. Deep brain stimulation can also be considered.
