Measles :
Typically individuals with this condition has an incubation period of 10-12 days with a 7-10 days of infection.
Initial symptoms include fever with high temperatures exceeding 104F, along with cough, runny nose, and inflamed eyes. This condition is marked with small white spots called Koplik's spots inside the mouth and subsequently a red, flat rash on the face that spreads to the rest of the body. Diarrhea, middle ear infections, and pneumonia, are some of the common complications occurring due to measles-induced immunosuppression. The measles vaccine (usually given as part of the MMR vaccine) provides long-lasting immunity and significantly reduces the risk of infection.
