Diabetes in Pregnancy :
Most of the times, gestational diabetes is asymptomatic but sometimes women may feel excessive thirst, nausea, frequent urination and fatigue. Diabetes in pregnancy is diagnosed by glucose tolerance test and glucose challenge test. It can also increase the chances of pre-eclampsia/elevated blood pressure during pregnancy and caesarean section. It affects the baby with premature birth, obesity, excess birth weight, hypoglycemia and breathing problems. Frequent check-ups during pregnancy, adhering to no junk food policy, moderate activities and healthy life style options can be beneficial during pregnancy.
