Tuberculosis :
Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection that can affect the lungs. It will also affect other organs in the body, like the brain, kidneys, and spine. Tuberculosis occurs due to a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The symptoms that are observed in tuberculosis will be chest pain, bad cough, fatigue, loss of appetite, chills, coughing up blood, fever, night sweats, and weight loss. Tuberculosis will be detected through diagnostic tests, which include a skin test, chest x-ray, blood test, CT scan, and lab tests on sputum. The treatment advised for tuberculosis will be based on medications such as antibiotics. The prevention of tuberculosis will be based on coughing into the elbow, taking all the medications, washing hands frequently, resting at home until it subsides, and avoiding close contact with other people. The recovery of tuberculosis takes 6 to 9 months of medications.
