Depression in Adults :
The effects of depression vary, and one individual with depression may experience different symptoms than another. A sense of hopelessness, sadness, and loss of interest are common symptoms of depression. These symptoms can last for months and affect life on both the personal and professional fronts. Psychologically, depression in adults appears as a constant low mood. Irritability, indecisiveness, guilt, tearfulness, and loss of self-esteem may also occur. Depression can also cause physical symptoms such as loss of appetite, sex drive, energy, and sleep. Depression can build up slowly, so it may cause someone to not notice their symptoms. The severity of depression depends on its impact on daily life, how long it affects an individual, and the intensity of the symptoms. Cognitive behavioural therapy is an effective way to tackle depression. An improved exercise regimen can also lift someone out of depression.
