Prostate Cancer
Q.

Hi Doctor This is Krishna from Sangareddy. What signs and symptoms of prostate cancer are there? Please tell me because I'm concerned about my health.

A.

Hi Krishna Garu, prostate cancer is a disease that affects elderly males. Above 60 yrs is the common age group. Symptoms could be decreased urine stream, difficulty in urination, increased frequency, burning sensation, recurrent urinary infections, blood in urine and semen, and bone pains at the spine and hip.

Prostate cancer could be without any symptoms also. Screening with PSA in blood and ultrasound could rule out prostate cancer before symptoms occur.
