Question & Answers in
Knee Replacement

Knee Replacement
Q.

Good evening sir, My Name is Priyanka, My father's knees are bound around 15 degrees, and the best doctors have recommended both knee replacements. I'd like to know if two knee replacements were how successful or if there were any side effects, and do have any problems after the procedure.

A.

Hello Priyanka, You haven't mentioned your father's age. Usually, both knee replacement surgery at a time is done for someone less than 65 years of age and without any health issues. If the age is more than 65 years or the general health condition is not so good; usually one knee is replaced, and the other knee is operated on after 45 days or 3 months, depending on patient recovery.
