Head Injury
Q.

Good Morning Doctor, My cousin, who had previously recovered from a bone injury, had an accident. He struggles to maintain his body's balance, struggles to control his movements, and struggles to speak clearly. Is this the result of an accident, or is he got a new disease?

A.

If your cousin developed this immediately after the accident, he must have had some brain injury during that accident which will take time to recover. But if he has developed it later this could be a sign of brain stroke. I recommend getting checked up by the nearest Neuro doctor.

Head Injury
Q.

Dear Doctors: My question is related blood clots. An accident involved my friend. The doctor performed a number of tests before finding the blood clot. Will it recover without a procedure? What happens if there is a blood clot in the brain?

A.

Recovery depends on the size and site of a blood clot and also the Glasgow coma scale at the time of admission. Small blood clots in case of mild to moderate head injuries recover with medications without any surgical intervention. But strict monitoring of patients in the neuro center is advised.
