Tuberculosis :
Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection that usually affects the lungs and can spread to other organs of the body, like the spine, brain, or kidneys. The symptoms of tuberculosis are persistent cough, blood in cough or sputum, fatigue, chest pain, loss of appetite, weight loss, fever, chills, and night sweats. Tuberculosis is caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria that spread through the air and can infect your lungs when you breathe them in. Tuberculosis that affects the lungs is called pulmonary tuberculosis, which is the most common type. Extrapulmonary tuberculosis is when the bacterium affects other parts of the body. This type of tuberculosis can cause diseases like meningitis, pott's disease, Addison's disease, hepatitis, and scrofula. The risk factor of getting affected with tuberculosis is higher in people with organ transplants, those who have a kidney disease, diabetes, those who are undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and those with weakened immune systems.
