Hyperthyroidism :

Hyperthyroidism is a condition that is characterized by excessive thyroid hormone produced in the thyroid gland, which has a fast rate for metabolism. The causes are classified into thyroid nodules, thyroditis, or inflammation of the thyroid and an autoimmune condition referred to as Graves' disease. Children, adolescents, and adults feel rapid weight loss without desired intention, palpitations, an exaggerated appetite, restlessness, excessive sweating, and increased sensitivity towards hot temperatures. The body then becomes generally weak, has muscle weakness, and cannot sleep. In females, it causes improper menstruation. Treatment can be done mainly through anti-thyroid medications that help to reduce the amount of hormone produced, radioactive iodine therapy, which destroys overactive thyroid cells, and in serious conditions, surgery where part of the thyroid is removed. Follow up is the most crucial measure in controlling the condition.
